The Perot Story

Think about this generation, and the next, and the next

Here’s why Hillwood Communities feels miles apart from today’s other large-scale developers. Because we’re a family business, we’re generational thinkers. Not in it for short-term rewards, but to carry on the Perot family business principles of integrity, character, respect, excellence and teamwork. We focus on meaningful projects that create lasting value for everyone involved.

Hillwood Communities is backed by the financial strength and business acumen of its founder, Ross Perot, Jr. We’ve demonstrated success and staying power in every economic climate — like the generation before us. Ross Perot, Sr., held to the same high standard of excellence when he founded Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in 1962, marking the launch of the information technology industry. His revolutionary EDS campus inspired a new focus on real estate — and the founding of Hillwood, one of the nation’s largest independent real estate development firms. Hillwood’s inaugural project was the first industrial airport in the country north of Fort Worth, Texas. Today, the airport and the AllianceTexas corridor in North Texas, have generated more than $90 billion in economic impact for the region over the past three decades. Hillwood Communities has carried on this proud legacy, specializing in breakthrough mixed-use communities, with a focus on lifestyle, since 1988.
