Hillwood Communities proudly received a total of eight McSAM Awards at the annual ceremony hosted by the Dallas Builders Association on April 26th. Among the top honors, Hillwood Communities was named the Dallas-Fort Worth Developer of the Year for the fourth consecutive year, reaffirming the company’s commitment to delivering residential developments that offer generational value to Texas families.
Established in 1979 by the Dallas Builders Association, the prestigious McSAM Awards recognize builders, developers, and associates who demonstrate creativity and excellence in the North Texas residential real estate industry.
Fred Balda, President of Hillwood Communities, reflected on the company’s continued recognition stating, “Being named Developer of the Year for the fourth year in a row is a tremendous honor and a reflection of the passion and dedication our entire team brings to every community we develop. These awards certify our commitment to thoughtful planning, innovative design, and lifestyle-driven development that enhances the lives of our residents.”
The 2025 McSAM Awards recognized standout achievements across Hillwood Communities’ portfolio, including Harvest, Treeline, and the newly announced Landmark community in Denton.
Among the highlights was the Best Use of Technology award for Treeline, where augmented reality is used to preview future amenities. Additionally, Landmark received the Best on Boards award for excellence in planning and vision, following a 2024 win by Treeline. Harvest continued its legacy of lifestyle excellence with wins for both Lifestyle Program and Lifestyle Director of the Year, along with recognition for the Harvest Farmhouse amenity.
