Liberty is a 535-acre master-planned residential community opened in 2003 in the City of Melissa, Texas. Close enough to McKinney, Frisco and Dallas to allow for a convenient commute, but far enough from the city to see a night sky full of stars. Liberty was designed to keep that small-town spirit fully intact. The last new construction homes were sold in 2024. 1,855 homes were built by top DFW builders Drees Custom Homes, Highland Homes, K. Hovnanian Homes, Perry Homes, CalAtlantic Homes, and Bloomfield Homes. A part of the Melissa Independent School District, Harry McKillop Elementary School is located within the community. Amenities include an amenity center with pool and splash pad, sports pavilion with gas grills, sand volleyball courts, a catch-and-release fishing pond, playgrounds, soccer fields, and walking paths. The Homeowners Association is managed by FirstService Residential.
