About Us

True to the land and people, now and to come

We’re a mixed-use community development company known for more than 100 master-planned lifestyle communities, including the award-winning communities of Harvest and Pecan Square in Dallas-Fort Worth, and Pomona in Houston. Because we’re privately owned, we’re free to focus on the long view instead of quarterly reports. Which makes sustainability — social, economic and environmental — simply part of our DNA.

Guided by Ross Perot, Jr., Hillwood Communities continues a family legacy of visionary thinking. Asking what’s right for our place and time and for the generations to follow. It’s a culture of future-focused development that has given rise to transformative enterprises like Circle T Ranch in Westlake, Texas, and the AllianceTexas corridor, as well as joint ventures in communities across the country and abroad.

What Guides Us

Life is
a mixed-use project

Let’s design for it

All the expertise you need for mixed-use community development is under one roof. Hillwood Communities provides start-to-finish residential and amenity design, including exceptionally integrated community life. A Perot Company, and part of the Hillwood family of companies, we have interdisciplinary expertise at our fingertips — from deep capital through the integration of retail, office, industrial, civic and multifamily. We’re one of the few full-scale developers to offer such seamless collaboration to our partners, cities, municipalities and landowners.

A picture truly says a thousand words. The best way to explain the Hillwood difference is to let our communities show the story. Each lifestyle community is uniquely envisioned — solving different problems, creating its own spirit, and providing meaningful opportunities for everyone involved.
