Russell Bynum
General Manager, Houston MSA
Russell has been a part of Houston’s real estate and engineering industry for more than 25 years. He began his career as an engineer with Turner Collie & Braden, Inc., working on a variety of transportation and development projects in the Texas region. He worked in various roles at Friendswood Development Company, KB Homes and Taylor Morrison, responsible for acquiring, developing and delivering more than 15,000 finished lots. He joined Hillwood Communities in 2016, and oversees the day-to-day operation of the Houston communities and acquisition opportunities.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, Russell also earned a professional engineering license and an MBA from the University of Houston. Russell has been active in the American Society of Civil Engineers, Urban Land Institute and the Greater Houston Builders Association, where he currently serves as board member and secretary. He lives in Kingwood, Texas, with his wife Michelle and their three kids, Michael, Julia and Andy.
